![]() Their new steam page has that video listed FIRST, and mentions that the game has "tickrate independent gameplay". I can't entirely fault valve for that but if you look at comments regarding the system you'll immediately find such remarks and just how pervasive they are. It also doesn't help that within combination with the graphics they used, this presentation has led NUMEROUS people to believe that we're in a "tickless" system. Both of these statements are, in some regards, provably false. Valve's marketing statements in their video consist of: "Moving beyond tickrate", "The tickrate no longer matters for moving and shooting". However, it also accentuates a few MAJOR issues surrounding CS's online functionality where 99.99% of all matches will be played. I'll be first to admit, and have done so, that offline hitreg at least feels phenomenal. ![]() ![]() Yes, subtick does create some benefit for hitreg (though we've also seen numerous shots still go straight through people like what would happen in CSGO as well).
